    On its First Day The Second International Conference for Teachers Holds 7 Workshops and Discusses 16 Papers

    The Second International Conference for the Saudi Scientific Association for Teachers, "JISM" organized by King Khalid University, concluded its first day's sessions and panel discussions with 20 research papers across 5 sessions.

    On its first day, the conference kicked off its programs with a panel discussion moderated by the university vice president Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Hamed Al-Buhairi. The panel included the participation of Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Human Resources, Dr. Muhammad Al-Obaidi, who discussed a paper on "Teacher Ranks and the Promotion System". The session was followed by a paper on "Teachers and Professional License Tests" presented by the Director General of Measurement, and a paper on “Tests at the Education and Training Evaluation Authority “, presented by Prof. Dr. Abdullah Al-Saadawi.

    During the second session of the conference, Dr. Abdullah Al-Jamil, Associate Professor of Educational Supervision at the University of Hail, presented a scientific paper entitled "The Role of Electronic Supervision in Improving the School Performance of Teachers in Hail Educational City." The session also included a research paper by Dr. Badria Al-Zahrani, Associate Professor of Curricula and Methods of Teaching Mathematics at Jazan University, entitled " Compassionate Education: The Missing Dimension of Mathematics Education for Learnable Mentally Disabled Students in Saudi Arabia.

    Dr. Maryam Khairy also participated in the session with her paper “The level of science teachers’ practice in public education for educational creativity from the point of view of their principals and supervisors.”, and the session concluded with a paper on “The effectiveness of investing soft leadership skills among primary school teachers in Jeddah in achieving an attractive classroom environment " presented by Dr. Iman Al-Amir and Dr. Aisha Al-Qaidi.

    The third session, moderated by Mr. Melhi Aqdi, Director General of Education in Jazan Region, included 6 research papers: "Health awareness practices among early childhood science teachers and their linkage to healthy behaviors among their children in Sabya Education Department" by Dr. Muhammad Khawaji and Teacher Haneen Anwar, “The effectiveness of digital dialogue in increasing educational achievement and developing digital citizenship among 6th-grade female students in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia” by Teacher Noura Al Sorour, in addition to "A proposed vision for employing artificial intelligence applications to develop mathematical concepts and imaginative thinking skills among secondary school students." research paper discussed by Ms. Raeda Ahmed Al Qasimi. Finally, this session concluded with " The level of middle school teachers' usage of augmented reality technology in education and the difficulties they face from their point of view in Al-Namas governorate" paper by Dr. Ahmed Al Dalil.

    The conference's fourth session was moderated by Dr. Yasser Al-Gharibi, Director General of Teachers Affairs at the Ministry of Education, and included two scientific papers: "The Economic Impact of Improving Teacher Quality" presented by Prof. Dr. Nayaf Al-Jabri, “ Pathways Program and Alignment with Universities “ presented by Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Humaidan Director of the Development of Paths, Study Plans and Academies at the Ministry of Education.

    The fifth and final session was moderated by Prof. Dr. Hanan Al-Saeedi, Professor of Curricula and Methods of Teaching Mathematics at King Khalid University, and it contained 5 papers: Ms. Ohood Bahari, and Ms. Fatima Addawi's paper titled “The Contribution of Teaching Practices to Science Teachers In addressing the educational wastage among middle school students in Sabya Governorate". Further, Teacher Nadia Al-Shehri, presented a research paper on "The Impact of a Training Program Based on the Requirements of Project (2061) on Developing Scientific and Engineering Practices among Science Teachers", a paper on "The Effectiveness of a Proposed Training Program on Professional Standards for Gifted Students' Teachers in Developing Creative Teaching Skills for Middle School Science Teachers in the Sabya Education Department", and the session concluded with paper by Prof. Munira Al-Habdan entitled "The extent of using the digital story strategy in education from the point of view of kindergarten teachers in Majmaah Governorate."

    The first day witnessed the holding of 3 onsite workshops, represented in the workshop "How Scientists and Engineers Work - Designing Science Teaching for the Next Generation" by Dr. Maryam Khairy, the workshop "Case Study: Research Design in the Educational Field" by Prof. Saleh Alzahrani, the workshop "Reducing the cognitive load to achieve good education" by Dr. Azhar Al-Shamrani, in addition to 4 online workshops that included the following workshop: "How to turn your lessons into active interaction?" Prof. Aisha Bleish Al-Omari, “Best Classroom Practices in Teaching the Gifted” workshop by Dr. Adnan Al-Qadi, “Using QuizLease to Address Educational Loss” by Ms. Sabria Al-Khaibri, and “The Learned Organization - An Introduction to Developing the Skills of General Education School Leaders” by Ms. Maymouna Awaji.
