During the Sustainable Partnerships Conference “Research and Innovation towards a Prosperous Economy”, organized by the Ministry of Education in Riyadh, King Khalid University signed a cooperation agreement with the Southern Province Cement Company.
In the presence of His Excellency the University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Solami, the signing took place. Representing the university in signing the agreement was the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Mohammad Khaloofa Al-Misfer, while the Southern Province Cement Company was represented by its Executive Vice President of Manufacturing Services, Eng. Saud bin Barqan.
This agreement stems from the common responsibilities of the two sides towards the community of Aseer region, and the necessary pursuit of integration between the two sides to raise the level of programs and activities that serve human development in the region.
Areas of cooperation include mutual training and training courses between the parties, benefiting from the efforts of professors and researchers in developing appropriate solutions to the problems that may confront the company. In addition to learning about the results of research and studies conducted at the university and benefiting from them in all fields. Further, allowing visits to factories, providing students with the opportunity to conduct research studies and participate in the research of interest, as well as coordinating the programs and activities of the parties.
