With the start of the new academic year 1444AH King Khalid university received more than 55,000 students, in full preparation and complete measures under the supervision of His Excellency King Khalid university president Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Al-Solami.
Al-Solami, welcomed all students and university members to the new academic year. He also stressed that the higher education sector received important decisions for this academic year which are contribute to the development of the educational system and help enhance student's skills.
The Vice President of Educational and Academic Affairs, Prof. Saad bin Dajam, pointed that the return of student to the university was successful. He added that male students are attending classes in the new campus in Al Qara’a, while female students have moved to the Gareger campus. He stressed that both campuses have been prepared with modern equipment and a convenient academic environment.
The Dean of Admission and Registration at the university, Dr. Abdulmohsen Al-Qarni, said that class registration procedures for students in more than 11,200 academic sections have been finalized and that admission for 12600 students for this academic year in various specializations and degrees has been completed. He noted that the percentage of admission for this academic year in all fields reached 121%.
