His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Al-Solami, praised the recent achievements of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of technology, starting with the establishment of bodies and the authorities in the field of technology which have lead the kingdom to become one of the leading countries in the field of technology. This came during the inauguration ceremony of more than twenty services and electronic systems at the university, which was organized by the General Department of Information Technology and the General Department of Cyber Security at Abha Palace Hotel.
In his speech during the inauguration ceremony, Al-Solami added that the development witnessed in the field of technology in the kingdom places us on the path of rapid development and growth, and encourages us to work and provide solutions to cope with this development. He stressed that human resources are the core of our wealth and noted that it is the duty of educational institutions to keep pace with global development.
On the efforts of the General Administration of Information Technology at the university, Al-Salami said, "I can proudly confirm that King Khalid University has achieved successes in this field, with the help of Allah and will continue its efforts to achieve the university goals in achieving digital transformation and meeting vision 2030.
During the ceremony, the university vice president of Academic Affairs, Prof. Saad bin Muhammad bin Dajam, reviewed the features of the university latest update for the academic agency service and electronic system. He pointed to the qualitative leap it brought about in work and the shortening of time and effort.
In addition, the General Supervisor of the General Administration of Information Technology and the General Administration of Cyber Security, Dr. Muhammad bin Saleh Al-Sager, thanked His Excellency the President of the University for his continuous support to both administrations. He also thanked the iT and Cyber security teams for their hard work and devotion towards achieving the university goals. He noted that both the iT administration and the cyber security administration recently received awards , the ISO 27001 certificate was granted to the General Administration of Cyber Security, while the IT administration came in second place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia government digital transformation project .
It is noteworthy that the celebration was attended by a large number of university employees, company executives, and employees of a number of government and private sectors.
