King Khalid University signed a three-year cooperation agreement with Al Soudah Development at the university city campus in Abha "Guraiger." The university was represented in the signing of the agreement by its President, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Solami, while Al Soudah Development was represented by its CEO, Eng. Husam Adden Al-Madani.
This agreement comes to fulfill the shared responsibility of both parties toward the community of the Aseer region, through integration between the two entities to elevate programs and activities that serve human development in the region.
The main clauses of the cooperation agreement included attracting specialized cadres from the university to conduct environmental and survey studies for the company, in addition to providing consulting expertise in historical, inscription, and archaeological fields to Al Soudah Development according to its areas of interest, training male and female students by the company and employing outstanding ones after training, as well as the company benefiting from the university's buildings and headquarters according to available capabilities to implement some of its activities and events, and also benefiting from the investment opportunities at the university.
The agreement also included the university's contribution of its expertise to the partnership project established between Soudah Development and the King Abdulaziz Foundation (Darah) to preserve the human and cultural heritage in the region, and to achieve community and cultural awareness.
The President of the University highlighted the university's interest to cooperate with Al Soudah Development to achieve the desired goals, in light of the strategy of the Aseer Development Authority, and to achieve the ambitions of the Governor of the Region, Prince Turki bin Talal, embodying his generous directives to achieve horizontal coordination and integration between entities, hoping that the signing of this agreement will contribute to strengthening cooperation between the university and Al Soudah Development in a way that serves people, place, and development.
For his part, the CEO of Al Soudah Development, Eng. Husam Adden Al-Madani, stressed the importance of cooperation between the university and the company, hoping that the signing of this agreement would be the beginning of a phase of joint work that achieves the goals of both entities and contributes to enhancing their roles, emphasizing that this integration is a reflection of the work to achieve the goals and targets of Vision 2030 and to enhance joint cooperation between entities, in light of the directives of the wise leadership, may God protect them.
It is noteworthy that the meeting during the signing of the agreement included a speech by the University Vice President for Business and Knowledge Economy, Prof. Dr. Abdulatif Al-Hadithi, and a speech by the Executive Director of Strategy and Development at Al Soudah Development, Eng. Waheed Al-Jelaly, as well as visual presentations by a number of units at the university regarding academic, training, community, and investment opportunities at the university. Additionally, the CEO of Soudah Development and his accompanying delegation toured a number of units at the university in the presence of His Excellency, the President of the University.
