The Vice Presidency for Business and Knowledge Economy was established on 3/3/1440 AH based on the speech of His Excellency the Minister of Education regarding the decision of the temporary committee in charge of exercising the terms of reference of the Education Council No. (6/19/1440)

Strategic Goals
The Business and Knowledge Economy Agency seeks to achieve a number of strategic goals, such as:
- Focusing on Knowledge Economy in fields of education and training , while coping with the rapid progress in the Saudi society.
- Supporting national economy through applied and technical studies and research.
- Contributing to the creation of innovative methods in business administration and development.
- Establishing local and international partnerships with prestigious scientific and technical institutions and centers to benefit from in the scientific and applied aspects.
- Strengthening the university’s relationship with external sectors through scientific, technical, administrative and supervisory support policies and programs to meet their needs, while building effective partnerships between the university and its community through programs that support knowledge economy.
- Providing scientific, research and consulting services with high professionalism to governmental and private, sectors, locally and regionally.
- Employing and investing the university's talents , capabilities and expertise in serving the development and growth of our society.
- Developing a culture of applied studies and advisory services at the university and society and deepening it through an organized institutional work.
- Supporting creative projects and creating an appropriate environment for them, as well as presenting them to the labor market through business incubators.
- Encouraging creativity and innovation among university employees (faculty members, students, administrators, and technicians).

Professor Abdul Latif Ibrahim Al-Hudaithy
Vice President of King Khalid University for Business and Community Partnership. He has extensive experience in academic, investment, marketing, and consulting sectors. His interests include management, leadership, e-marketing, development, and Saudi Vision 2030. He has served as the Dean of the Institute of Research and Consulting Studies, Head of the Department of Marketing and E-Commerce at King Khalid University, and Advisor to the Asir Region Governorate. He was awarded the Best PhD Dissertation in the Arab World in 2010, along with several local and international awards, including the Best Researcher in Indexed International Publishing at King Khalid University in 2020. He is an international reviewer and participant in numerous international conferences and workshops. He also serves as President of the Saudi Management Association – Asir Branch and is a member of several research centers and scientific associations within the Kingdom and abroad. He has authored and published 50 books and research papers in indexed foreign journals and international conferences.
Recent Achievements
Supervision of King Khalid University's investments, endowments, real estate, self-generated resources, and alternative revenues.
Establishment, organization, and supervision of the financial, revenue, endowment, investment administrations, the Institute of Research and Consulting Studies, and digital platforms at King Khalid University, as well as overseeing their governance.
Strategic prioritization of spending on the university's projects and plans, propelling the university to rank third nationally and sixth in the Arab world among universities.
Oversight of the university's acquisition of major national consulting projects.
Supervision of three business incubators and accelerators at King Khalid University.
Oversight of the establishment of the first digital innovation lab in the region and the second among Saudi universities, in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
Supervision of the creation, design, and operation of the Business Center at King Khalid University (The center won the “Great Place to Work” award as the second-best workplace in Saudi Arabia in 2023).
Leading a generation of young entrepreneurs and innovators at the university, enabling King Khalid University to win 14 international awards in major global competitions.
