King Khalid University, represented by the Data Office, recently received a registration certificate in the National Registry for the Protection of Personal Data from the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). This is in response to the priorities of the university and the office to ensure the security and confidentiality of personal information.

The Director of the Data Office at KKU, Eng. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Sharafi, explained that this is a culmination of KKU's serious efforts to enhance the protection of employees’ personal data through the Data Office, and to promote national digital sovereignty of personal data and preserve its privacy.

Al-Sharafi stressed that personal data is a vital part of an individual's life, as it includes information about his personal, professional and public life. In the modern digital age and with the increasing exchange of data, controlling an individual's information has become a challenge, which makes the importance of protecting personal data a pressing matter to ensure the confidentiality and security of this information.
