University Launches "Artificial Intelligence in Education" Hackathon in Partnership with SDAIA

In his speech in the opening of the Artificial Intelligence Hackathon in Education (Eduthon), His Excellency King Khalid University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Solami, affirmed the university's keenness to be abreast of new developments in all scientific fields, given its role in the overall development of the Kingdom. He then explained  that the field of AI is a rising  field  in the kingdom, and has received  great attention from KKU. His Excellency noted that many activities are held at the university in conjunction with the launch of Hackathon and thanked the participating entities for their efforts in the success of this event.

The hackathon includes three tracks: the  adaptive learning,  the smart assessment, and smart content, all of which contribute to offering smart solutions in many areas of the artificial intelligence field, and  aims to bring together participants from diverse backgrounds to collaborate and develop practical solutions that can be implemented in the real world. In addition to promoting innovation in education and creating impactful solutions, which address the challenges facing the sector.

Its worth noting that the hackathon  total awards amount to 30,000 riyals, in addition to training internships from Coursera.
