With the Participation of 19 Teams & +60 Participants, "Eduthon" Continues Its Activities at the University

The Artificial Intelligence in Education Hackathon (Eduthon), continues its activities in the University City in Alfara'a. Since its launch, 9 workshops, panel discussions, and counseling sessions were held, presented by international speakers specializing in the field of artificial intelligence in education, in which 19 teams and more than 60 participants participated.

The event opened with a lecture presented by Dr. Nayef Jabali on Design Thinking. Further, the technical sponsor, MathWorks, presented a session on "Low Code/No Code AI with MATLAB", delivered by Eng. Muhammad Abu Ziyad, in which he covered the basics of AI using MATLAB without the need for in-depth programming experience.

An additional workshop titled "The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Education" was presented by the hackathon's strategic partner, (SDAIA), and was led by AI expert Dr. Hassan Al-Shahrani. He covered creative educational solutions utilizing smart platforms and emerging technologies. Additionally,  Microsoft participated in a workshop titled "Lead AI in Education with Microsoft", presented by Eng. Fathi Essam, followed by a panel discussion on education and AI in the 21st century with the participation of experts from "Naseej", a review of the developments of education between the past and the present, in addition to a workshop presented by the E-learning expert at KKU, Eng. Atheer Al-Shahrani, in which she dealt with the basics of UI/UX.

Its worth noting that the hackathon will conclude its activities today, Thursday, July 27, by honoring the winning teams with total awards amounting to 30,000 riyals, in addition to training internships from Coursera.
