KKU Signs MOU with King Salman Global Arabic Academy

The College of Arts and Humanities, recently signed a MOU on behalf of King Khalid University with the King Salman Global Arabic Academy. The agreement aims to improve cooperation between the two entities in many areas of mutual interest.

Prof. Hamid bin Majdou Al-Qarni, Vice-President for Graduate Studies and Research signed the MOU on behalf of King Khalid University, while Ibrahim bin Mohammad Aba-Nami, signed it on behalf of the King Salman Global Arabic Academy.

On his part, Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities, Dr. Khalid bin Saeed Abu-Hikma explained that this strategic partnership will serve the Arabic language in a variety of fields. He added that many upcoming agreements are on the horizon for other departments, in conjunction with King Khalid University strategy.

This agreement was signed for a number of shared goals and objectives, which include the following,

  • Issuing Arabic language and Saudi dialects dictionary.
  • Establishing training courses and academic programs.
  • Developing tools to improve Arabic AI comprehension.
  • Developing Arabic language education for non-native speakers.
  • Developing Innovative education methods.
  • Conducting research on Arabic language translation and culture.
  • Activating standardized Arabic language testing.
