The University Signs a Memorandum of Cooperation with Abha's Chamber of Commerce

King Khalid University, represented by the General Administration of Investment, recently signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Abha’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which was signed at the University City in Al-Fara’a.

The university was represented in the signing by the Acting President of the University, Prof. Saad bin Mohammad bin Dajam, while Abha’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry was represented by its Secretary-General, Dr. Riyad bin Ahmed Al-Oqran

General Supervisor of the University’s General Investment Administration, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Maleh, explained that this agreement aims to develop integration and cooperation between the two parties. This partnership includes organizing events, activities, and workshops, in support of the business sector in Asir, as well as attracting national and international investors in the field of tourism and general population services.

The memorandum’s terms also include issuing accredited certificates to university employees upon participating in joint activities, and handling all calls and inquiries related to the memorandum.

The memorandum also entails the preparation and approval of investment plans and events, reviewing investment training materials and research issued by the chamber, and Marketing investment activities to private sector companies and benefiting from social responsibility programs.

The importance of this memorandum is to activate the Chamber’s role in sponsoring and supporting the university’s General Investment Administration programs, activities, and events through private sector establishments, enhancing cooperation between the two sectors and achieving a bond to strengthen the local economy and develop the investment environment.
