The University Concludes the Activities of International Quality Day

King Khalid University, represented by the Deanship of Academic Development and Quality, concluded the activities of the International Day for Quality. On the occasion, the Deanship organized a week-long program for over 21 participants. During this week, 15 papers were submitted, in addition to launching a training course, and a number of competitions.

The activities of the first day took place in the Central Stands in Abha, starting with a presentation of a scientific symposium entitled "Daily Leadership," conducted by HE Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Hajri, the Dean of Academic Development and Quality. The program also included a number of participations, the first entitled "The Enlightened Leader in Light of the Islamic Approach and Contemporary Educational Thought," presented by Dr. Ali Nasser Al-Shattawi. The second participation was entitled "Applications of Quality Leadership in the Prophetic Sunnah," presented by Dr. Abdullah Mansour Al-Aideed while the third was entitled "Quality of Leadership or Quality Leadership," presented by Dr. Fayez Awad Al-Dhafra.

The second day of the Quality and Leadership Program was held at the College of Science, starting with a session managed by Dr. Hessa Mohammed Al-Meloud, the Vice Dean for Academic Development and Quality of Girls' Colleges. The program included a number of submissions. The first was under the title "Leadership and Excellence in Academic Performance," presented by Dr. Lubna Al-Ajmi. The second participation entitled, "The Role of Academic Leadership in Achieving Quality," presented by Dr. Abeer Mahfouz, in addition to a third participation entitled "Leadership and Strategic Planning" presented by Dr. Hanan Yaqout. The last participation was under the title, "Leadership and Continuous Improvement" presented by Ms. Noura Al Sarhani.

At the same time, the activities were held in the Faculty of Science and Arts in Mohaiyl, where the program started with an opening speech by Dr. Halima Rifai followed by four submissions. The first was presented by Ms. Abeer Al-A'ami entitled "The Role of Academic Leaders in Activating Quality" and the second by Ms. Ahlam Ma'adi entitled " Leadership and Its Role in the Quality of Work." The third submission was presented by Dr. Shaimaa Shattara, entitled "Together towards Academic Accreditation." The fourth was presented by Ms. Manal Mohamed, entitled "Leadership in Islam." The activities of the Faculty of Science and Arts was inaugurated by Dr. Ahmed Al-Shehri, the General Supervisor of the University Branch in Tahama.

The third day included the submission of a training course in the Sciences and Arts College in Mohaiyl. The course was presented by Dr. Saeed Saad Hadi, Vice Dean of Academic Development and Quality, in the Faculty of Science and Arts and it was titled "Quality Assurance Management."

The activities at the Faculty of Science and Arts in Sarat Obaida ended with a program that included a number of submissions. The first entitled "Leadership Skills and Strategic Planning" presented by Dr. Amira Abdullah Nour Eldine, while the second participation was entitled "Fundamentals of Leadership and its Role in Achieving Total Quality" presented by Dr. Mimi Ismail. The third participation entitled "Leadership and Continuous Improvement" presented by Dr. Salma Al Gharabi. The session was moderated by Dr. Ghada Al-Sherbini. The program also included presenting activities and competitions for the students as well as presenting a drama production for students on the importance of quality.

Given these points, His Excellency, Dr. Merzin Al-Shahrani, the University Vice-President for Academic Development and Quality, thanked His Excellency the Rector, Prof. Dr. Faleh Bin Raja Al-Solamy, for his continuous support of quality activities, which will undoubtedly enhance the University's educational process.

The Dean of Academic Development and Quality, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Hajri, expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Rector of the University for his keenness and support for the programs and activities of the Deanship. He also thanked the University Vice-President for Academic Development and Quality for his ongoing support to the operations of the Deanship.
