KKU Ranks High in the 2023 Times Ranking for Arab Universities

King Khalid University reached a new peak in rankings. According to the 2023 Times Ranking for Arab Universities, it ranked fifth among Arab universities and third locally.


The Vice-President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Hamid bin Majdou Al-Qarni, explained that this achievement is a reflection of our leadership's support of education and innovation.
He pointed out that the university is dedicated to the best international academic practices, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030 and the Asir Development Strategy, "Qimam and Shyam".


Al-Qarni explained that this year, performance metrics were based on five main categories; scientific citations, research impact, educational environment, international outlook, and industry cooperation. The university ranked high in all these categories, especially in international outlook, where it placed third.


He added that King Khalid University aspires to uphold its leading position in research and innovation, and its central role in the development of national, knowledge-based economy.


Al-Qarni sent his best regards to His Excellency, University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaallah Al-Solami, and to the university faculty, employees, and students, as we owe this great achievement to their exceptional administrative and innovative talents.
