University Organizes Training Program on Tourism and Promotional Translation

King Khalid University, represented by the University Vice Agency  for Female Student Affairs, in cooperation with the College of Languages ​​and Translation, are to  organize today, Monday, a training program on Tourism and Promotional Translation, presented by a group of specialists from the College, and will be held online within the programs of the Mobaderoon project in its 4th edition.

The program aims to define tourism and promotional translation, explain its strategies using the Asir region's tourism history as a guide, provide an overview of the Kingdom's vision for tourism, make reference to the region's development strategy, and discuss the tourism, historical, and cultural potentials of the area. Additionally, a critical analysis of some translations of tourist destinations' names, commercial activities, traditional cuisine, and folklore, as well as making recommendations to support the tourism translation sector in the region.

It is worth noting that the program comes within the framework of the university's endeavor, through its strategy 2030, which is in line with Asir development strategy, to focus on a number of areas, most notably the field of tourism. To register for the program (click here)
