Faculty of Languages and Translation Concludes International Summer Exchange Program

In the presence of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Vice Rector, Dr. Saad Al-Amri, the Faculty of Languages and Translation concluded its 1439-40 AH summer exchange program at Swansea University in the UK. The program falls under the purview of King Khalid University's International Summer Training Program, under the direction and consent of the Minister of Education, His Excellency Dr. Hamad Al-Sheikh, and supervised by King Khalid University Rector, His Excellency Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy.

 

Faculty of Languages and Translation Dean, Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi, explained that the summer program at Swansea University is a two-month summer program, which includes language skill development programs, IELTS preparatory courses, and cultural immersion programs.

 

Faculty of Languages and Translation Chairman, Dr. Munassir Alhamami, emphasized that the program aims to prepare high performing students for postgraduate studies and scientific research. Acceptance into the program, he related, was very competitive with only those students who met stringent requirements being nominated.

 

Of noteworthy mention, the select group of 7 students exerted extraordinary efforts and achieved outstanding results leading to a commendation by Swansea University.
