University Elab Receives OLC Award

The Scientific Experiments Platform (Elab) initiative at the Deanship of E-Learning at King Khalid University received the “Effective Practice Award” for the year 2022 from the OLC Organization for E-Learning  practices and  development.

The Dean of the E-Learning Deanship at the university, Dr. Adel Qahmesh, explained that the initiative aims to  clarify and teach  the concepts and scientific experiments  students study in the science courses at the university.

On the platform’s objectives, Qahmesh explained that the platform  contributes  to achieving the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, through offering  sustainable approaches to research and spending efficiency. In addition the platform  enhances  learning  mechanisms  and  supports the production of  qualitative outcomes.Its also stimulates an electronic  educational  environment, that offers a fun learning experience and provides knowledge in an  easy accessible manner.

It is worth noting that the OLC (Online Learning Consortium) was launched about a quarter of a century ago, with its headquarters in the United States of America. The OCL is one of the oldest and most famous international organizations in the field of e-learning.
