Concluding the Second Edition of His Excellency Programing Competition
His Excellency King Khalid University President Prof. Falleh bin Rajallah Al Solami, sponsored the closing of the activities of the second edition of his Excellency the President of King Khalid university Programming Competition, which is supervised by the College of Computer Science, at the University Administration Building in Qureiger. The competition included the participation of 8 faculties from different university entities with a total of 23 teams represented in 70 male and female students.
During his speech at the closing ceremony of the competition, Al-Solami stressed the need for university students to benefit from the knowledge and professional fields available to them, he praised the efforts of the College of Computer Science in establishing a variety of programs and students activities.
The Dean of the College of Computer Sciences, the supervisor of the competition, Dr. Ali bin Muhammad Al-Qarawi, explained that the competition aims to give university students the opportunity to show and refine their skills in solving software problems, to build knowledge and qualify for the needs of the labor market. He also said that the competition aims to enhance the spirit of innovation, creativity, and team work among students.
At the end of the closing ceremony his excellency honored the winning teams and participants and congratulated them on their victory.
It is worth noting that the idea of the competition is based on finding software solutions to various problems, using one of the programming languages by following the rules of the ICPC International Programming Competition, where each team consists of three members and a mentor from the same team.
