University Holds Radiology Awareness Campaign

King Khalid University, represented by the Radiology Department at the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Abha, organized yesterday evening, a campaign on the occasion of the “World Radiology Day” at  Al-Rashid Mall, in the presence of the University's Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Professor Kholoud Abu Malha.

The Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Professor Kholoud Abu Malha, commended the campaign and Department of Radiology  for their  efforts in educating the community about the importance of Radiology, and the role it plays in these critical times, she also thanked the students for all their hard work and efforts in the achieving the campaign ’s goals.

On his part, the head of the Department of Radiology at the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Abha, Dr. Maqbool Al-Olayani, explained that the campaign aimed to educate the community on  the importance of radiology in diagnosing many diseases at an early stage, which help  speed treatments  and correct many  medical conceptions.

Al-Olayani, added that the campaign is part of the university’s community service to educate and spread awareness on important issues, noting that the Radiology department has held this event annually, he praised the students efforts in organizing and contributing to the success of the event. Al-Olayani also thanked the university administration and the college for their continuous support and encouragement.
