International Day of Radiology (IDoR)
In recognition of International Day of Radiology (IDoR), the Department of Radiology at the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Abha organized a three-day community-based radiology campaign.
Head of the Department of Radiology, Dr. Maqbool Al-Aliani, explained that the students in the radiology department organized the event. The students assembled eighteen different exhibits that introduced event attendees to radiology and radiological services. The campaign aimed to spread public awareness on the role of radiology and X-rays in early detection of diseases such as breast cancer. The exhibits also displayed other technology such as ultrasound, CT scans, radiotherapy, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and advanced radiological techniques.
