World Radiology Day
King Khalid University, represented by the Radiological Sciences Department at the
College of Applied Medical Sciences in Abha, organized, on Tuesday, the 8th of
November, world Radiology Day event in Mujan Park Mall in Khamis Mushait.
On his part, head of the Radiological Sciences Department at the College of Applied
Medical Sciences in Abha, Dr. Maqbool Al-Olyani, explained that the event, which
witnessed the participation of more than 60 students from the college, aimed to raise
awareness of the importance of radiology in the community, dispel some
misconceptions in its regard, and educate visitors about many aspects of the field.
It is worth mentioning, that the event included a number of various booths, such as a
Breast Cancer Awareness booth, a Magnetic Resonance Imaging booth, a Nuclear
Medicine booth, a Radiation Protection booth, a CT Scan booth, a Radiation Therapy
booth, as well as a booth for Ultrasonography.
