The College of Applied Medical Sciences for Girls at King Khalid University Branch in Tihama implemented in collaboration with The health volunteer team at Mahayel General Hospital and the Agency of Community Service and Continuous Learning, an educational awareness program on breast cancer.

The Collage Dean Dr. Norah Banafa’ explained the program was executed over three days on Oasis Mall in Mahayel Asir, then it continued through social media platforms. She pointed the program aims to educate people on the importance of the early detection for breast cancer especially in women and men as well. The early deduction will limit the disease progress to stages where it will be difficult to treat.

The General Supervisor of the University Branch in Tuhamah Dr. Ahmed Atef Al-Shehri, expressed his gratitude to all the participating entities. He hoped the program achieves its goals and contributes in creating a healthy society.

The Vice Dean of Community Service and Continuous Learning at the University Branch Dr. Abdullah Al-Shehri, stressed on the importance of such programs because they direct the community directly and contributes to rise the level of awareness.
