King Khalid University, represented by the College of Medicine and the Medical City at the
university, concluded the field campaign for breast cancer awareness control and its early
detection. The campaign was organized by the university to serve the residents of the eastern
governorates of Asir region under the slogan "For You, Again". The campaign was a
collaboration between the university and Asir's General Directorate for Health Affairs,
represented by Sarat Abidah General Hospital and aimed to raise awareness of the importance
of the early detection of breast cancer and finding ways to prevent it for women.

The campaign supervisor at King Khalid University, Dr. Haifa Abdulkhaliq Al-Hafdhi,
explained that more than 90 cases of breast cancer had been detected throughout the
campaign period.

The campaign, Al-Hafdhi added, was a three-phase campaign. First, visitors were medically
examined and triaged. Second, the hospital coordinated appointments for patients. Finally,
doctors determined who met the medical requirements in terms of age and risk factors, which
required medical examination for early detection of breast cancer. The process of the early
detection involved clinical examination, X-ray examination, and mammogram screening for
registered cases with the help of the university participating medical team and the medical
team of Sarat Abidah Genaeral Hospital over the course of 5 days.

It is worth noting, that the university held the closing ceremony of the campaign in Sarat
Abidah General Hospital. During the ceremony, statistics were reviewed as well as honoring
participating individuals and entities.
