Busy Week Yields 2,976 Virtual Classes and Training for 815 Faculty Members

King Khalid University continues the summer semester online for more than 29,500 students in different majors in Abha and other provinces in Asir. The total number of courses reached 653 delivered by 594 faculty members to 1,678 sections.

 

Dean of E-learning, Dr. Fahad Al-Ahmari, explained that during the third week of the summer semester of 1441 AH there were 104,751 users, 95,378 ratings, and 15,290 discussion boards. Also, he noted that there were 1,748 viewed files and 2,976 virtual class sessions attended by 65,557 students.

 

In regards to technical support, Dean Al-Ahmari stated that the support reports reached 181 through various means. As for training, the Deanship implemented a course on how to give a successful virtual class lecture. It targeted faculty members and was attended by 815 male and female faculty members. Three guides were also prepared and implemented.

 

The Tamkeen channel also continued its efforts to provide educational services, where the number of videos since the beginning of the summer semester reached 277, which garnered 11,795 views in 350 hours.
