University President Reviews the Research Outcomes of Distance Education During Covid19 Crisis and Attends a Meeting to Boost Students' Presence in Creativity Programs

His Excellency King Khalid University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Salomi,
recently received, in his office at the University City in Al-Qara’a, the research project team
to evaluate the Kingdom’s experience in distance education during the Corona pandemic. The
team was represented by the General Director of the General Administration of Education in
Asir, Dr. Ahmed Khadran Al-Omari, and the head of the team, Counsellor to His Excellency
the University President, Prof. Abdullah bin Ali Al Kasi. During the meeting, His Excellency
the University President was briefed on the research outcomes and received a copy of the
project book.

 

On his part, Al Kassi explained that the research project included 5 research papers, which
highlighted the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Education to
overcome the Covid 19 crisis in all aspects of the educational process. Aspects such as
teachers, school environment, digital platforms, learning outcomes, educational wastage, and
ways to address them, in addition to providing professional development programs for
incumbents of educational positions, as well as the importance of the role of the family in
such times. Ultimately, the research project confirmed the Kingdom's leadership and
excellence in dealing with the Corona crisis in the field of education.

 

In a similar context, a meeting was held in the presence of His Excellency the University President and the General Director of Education in Asir to discuss means of cooperation to support national and international Olympiads in the field of talent and creativity. The meeting also aimed to increase the presence and involvement of students in such event.
