The Admission and Registration Deanship at King Khalid University ended a series of definition and educational visits for Secondary schools of government and private organizations for boys and girls in all regions of the Asir Province. The university set up these visits to introduce the mechanism of Admission for the academic year 1435-1436 AH, and to let students and school administrations identify the message and the vision of the university and features of its education, as well as to inform students about the disciplines that are available at the university. This comes after the approval of the Supreme Committee for the university plan of admission and registration for the academic year 1435/1436 AH. After that, the Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Saad bin Mohammed bin Dajm stressed on the need for arranging intensive field visits to explain and clarify the mechanism of developed admission, so a committee was formed, headed by the Dean of Admission and Registration besides the membership of Vice-Presidents and a number of staff and employees. The Committee has worked on developing an integrated plan based on clear vision, collecting all possibilities in coordination with all the offices of supervision on the regional level in order to get statistics that report the names and telephone numbers of schools to communicate with them and the number of the target group and the e-mail for each school. A unified program was approved and it was prepared carefully. The program includes the following:
This awareness campaign has been launched by meeting the President of University, Prof. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Dawood with the students of the Model Schools in Abha, then visits began to all the provinces of the region. Visits has included the students of the Urban School in Abha and its suburbs, besides all the provinces of Asir region such as Mahayil - Merbah – Al-Namas – Rijal Almae - Majardh - Bisha - Tathleeth - Sarat Ubaida - Dhahran Al-Janoub - and Al-Farshah in the Tihama Qahtan. The Vice-President of Admission and Registration Deanship for girls, Dr. Hanan Al-Saidi with number of employees did similar visits for female students.
The program of academic orientation comes within the programs organized by the university, represented by the Admission and Registration Deanship. These programs are delivered to the students of the Secondary schools, male and female, which aim to create the academic and scientific motivation inside the student to continue his studies after secondary stage, as well as to prepare him psychologically, socially, and enlighten his road towards science, so that he can build bright educational future, God willing.
