His Excellency King Khalid University President Prof. Falleh bin Rajallah Allah Al Solami, inaugurated the second edition of the Deanships of Scientific Research, Research Portal , which is considered an interactive system that offers researchers and postgraduate students the support and literature needed.
The Dean of Deanship of Scientific Research, Dr. Hamid bin Majdou 'Al-Qarni, expressed his appreciation to His Excellency the University President for his support, which has contributed remarkably in the progress of research in the university’s scientific publishing field, and supported the university’s classification and international ranking.
Al-Qarni, explained that with the Deanship expanding its research programs, raising the efficiency of researchers, as well as its research outcomes , and raising the university’s research classification, the Deanship decided, with direct support from His Excellency the President of the University, to develop a scientific research portal to receive new developed research programs, and work towards developing new topics and programs.
Al-Qarni, pointed that the development of the portal, included more than 25 major improvements to the portal, and the number of sub-improvements in the portal’s systems reached more than 120 improvement measures. Among the most prominent improvements made is the ability to manage all current projects and future research programs, whether from within the university or outside its campus. The portal also provides an easy accessible method to link researchers to each other, and with the new updates, there is no longer a need for researchers to come to the Deanship building, as through the portal all services are provided. the new portal also empowers researchers to manage their supported research budgets and printing their contracts automatically without the need to report to the deanship offices, in addition visitors and researchers from other universities can now reach out to the university researchers and view research outcomes through the portal.
It’s worth noting that the deanship tends to hold a number of training workshops, for the purpose of training researchers on the new update and tools offered by the portal , to ensure that best outcomes possible.
