His Excellency King Khalid University president , Prof. Dr. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Solami, recently inaugurated the interactive teaching, learning and assessment portal "ILITE", which was launched by the University Educational and Academic Affairs Agency and implemented by the General Administration for Information Technology. The portal includes all academic services that serve the university students and faculty members in an easy accessible environment.
His Excellency the University president, praised the efforts made to provide and make such services available, noting the importance of the portal as it includes a variety of services under one umbrella that aim to contribute to the development and progress of the educational process at the university, he thanked all those who contributed to the design and implementation of the portal.
The Vice-President of Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Saad bin Muhammad bin Dujam, confirmed that the portal aims to create an interactive environment that links teaching to learning , and offers modern tools, which contributes to the development and creativity of studnets. He stressed that portal is designed to achieve excellence and support innovation as well as offering a space to
exchanging experiences and knowledge. He thanked His Excellency the President of the University for his support and keen follow up to support the of the education process, he also thanked the General Administration of Information Technology represented by the General Supervisor, Dr. Muhammad Al-Saqr, and the employees of the administration for their efforts and hard work.
On her part the University Consultant of the Educational and Academic Affairs Agency, Dr. Suad Muhammad Al-Naqir, explained that the idea of the portal is to provide an interactive environment for the teaching and learning process, with the aim of demonstrating and developing talents and capabilities, knowledge investment, human recsources through reshaping tradition learning methods to interactive creative modern methods that provoke innovation and creativity.
Al-Naqir , noted that the portal seeks, through the evaluation process, to contribute to the achievement of administrative organization at universities which is one of the goals of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision through developing human capabilities by improving the outputs of the education and training system. She finally thanked His Excellency the University president and the those who contributed to the implantation of the portal.
The ILITE portal currently , provides its services through the university’s website , most notably student guides, test schedules, as well as student rights and duties, in addition to the disciplinary list. Its worth noting that the portal will submit many scientific and educational initiatives in the near future .
