KKU Summer Festival concludes tomorrow

Under the auspices of Asir Prince, King Khalid University concludes its Summer Festival tomorrow.

His Royal Highness, Prince of Asir Province, Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud sponsors the closing ceremony of KKU summer festival ii tomorrow evening (Thursday) which lasted five days. The festival included number of programs and events that met the needs of the festival visitors within the and beyond the region.

 From his part, King Khalid University President, general supervisor of the festival  Prof. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Daoud, thanks and appreciates His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal Bin Khalid for his generous patronage of the festival, which confirms the keenness of His Highness to support all the activities of the university, saying: "the visit of his Highness tonight to the festival confirms his commitment - may God protect him - on the participation of Asir sons and visitors in all educational activities and events of Abha Summer in this year." 

HE clarified that, the university sought - For the second year in a row – in holding such festival, to emphasize the university role of community partnership pursued with society. He also added that the university hopes to achieve the desired goal by holding such a festival. He said, "The university is determined to hold  and get ready for the third Summer Festival - God willing – early, so that we can achieve and meet the needs and desires of Asir Region inhabitants and visitors."

From other side, the festival continues its activities for a fifth and last day in a number of events and programs, which starts 4.30 pm. The programs and events are: a program for children (entertain and challenge) in Challenge Playground, Children's Theater in University Stadium, Cooperative Office Exhibition of inviting communities in the University Hall, Futsal Competition and  table tennis Competition , in addition to a training session of swimming skills to youths. All are provided by Captain Walid Al Shahrani, and Captain Ali Al Qahtani, in the gym.

In the area of ​​training courses, a session will be hold titled "Life is goal" by the trainer Musa Hamza at training headquarters in the university theater, in addition to a course in the art of calligraphy by the calligrapher Mulfi Al Shahrani and Dr. Saif Al Din Mohamed Morsi, at Fine Arts Society exhibition in the University Hall.

In addition to that, there are 12 exhibitions for the following bodies:

General Directorate of Civil Defense, General Directorate of Narcotics Control, Saudi Customs, Two Holy Mosques Architecture, Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, National Initiative ' God gives you its Goodness' and in addition to Saudi Fine Arts Society (Asir Branch), Tamniah Museum for heritage, Cooperative Office for Call and Guidance, Saudi Geological Survey,  Zain Company and King Khalid University.   

The closing ceremony of the festival will begin under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul Aziz, after Isha prayers in the university Hall. 

In the female tent events, training course will be  hold  entitled " Creative Arts in Dealing with Children," by the trainer Mona Al Ahmari, and open meeting with Dr. Sultanah Al Mushayqih about the virtues of Ramadan and how to prepare for this Holy Month in main tent events. There is another meeting will be held with Dr. Amal Al Sarhani  entitnled "Bridges Toward Paradise" in  girls tent. In addition to that, the exhibitions tent include KKU corner, Health corner, productive families, Guidance center. In the exhibition tent, there are also educational and recreational competitions, theater, and finally the closing ceremony will be held there.

It is worth to mention, 2nd Summer Festival of KKU has given more than 150 thousand SR as daily prizes for the festival visitors. In addition to that, it offers the festival grand prize a (car) which will be announced in (the closing ceremony) on Thursday night.
