The President of King Khaled University, the Vice Chairman of the University Council, Prof. Abdul Rahman Bin Hamad Al Dawoud headed the tenth meeting of the University Council, which was held on Monday, 08/04/1435 AH, at 11.00 O'clock a.m.

His Excellency, the President of the University and the Chairman of the meeting started the meeting with praise of Allah and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger. He also welcomed the council members who have recently joined the University Council and wished success to everyone.

On the other hand, His Excellency, the President of the University calls upon the Heads of the Academic Departments and Deans of the Colleges at the university to take the responsibility for checking the safety of those who communicate with the teaching staff whether to for communication or sabbatical or any other form of scientific communication. At the same time, His Excellency pointed to the importance of giving priority to the citizens to occupy the jobs available on the university, as a national vision of our rulers, May Allah protects them.

Then, the Secretary of the University Council reviewed the topics on agenda and took appropriate resolutions. The Council has been briefing with the authorizing resolutions, taken by His Excellency the President from 13 \ 07 to 03 \ 08 \ 1435 AH. The resolutions included 43 resolutions that interest scholars besides granting degrees to twenty students. 63 lecturer and demonstrator have been nominated on the degree of Lecturer at the faculties of the University.

In the key topics of the meeting and within the framework of the university's quest to keep up with the needs of the labor market of required disciplines, the Council approved the plan of study for the Bachelor degree in specializations of Anesthesia Technology at the Department of Anesthesia and Emergency Medical Services at the Department of Nursing at the colleges of Applied Medical Sciences at the University.

To enrich the student activities and support the various activities that saturate the students' desires, the Council approved the plan of the student's activities for the academic year 1435/1436 AH. In the same time, the Council stressed on cooperation in order to implement all what this plan includes optimally.

Regarding King Khalid University interaction and communication with international Universities and Research Centers, the University Council approved a sabbatical for each of Dr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Shahrani and Dr. Abdulsalam Al-Ghamdi.

In the area of ​​benefiting the faculty members, the Council approved hiring Dr. Mohammed Bin Mrezn, Dr Saeed Al-Manea and Dr. Saad Hussein Osman. There was also approval of the renewal of the contract with two members of the faculty who already have a contract.

To ensure the progress of the academic and student's topics, His Excellency, the Minister of Higher Education has been delegated with all the powers of the Council during the summer this year.
