University Council Holds its Seventh Meeting for the Year 1445 and Approves the Establishment of a Number of Scientific Associations
On behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Education, His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaallah Al-Solami, chaired the seventh meeting of the University Council for the academic year 1445 today, Monday, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Council of University Affairs, Prof. Bassam bin Abdullah Al-Bassam, alongside members of the University Council.
The Vice-President for Graduate Studies and Research - Secretary of the University Council - Dr. Hamed bin Majdou' Al-Qarni explained that the meeting reviewed the topics included on the agenda and made the necessary decisions. The council discussed scholarships’ approvals, extensions, and terminations for a number of TAs and lecturers. The council also approved the granting of master's and PHD degrees to a number of graduate students. The council approved a number of final accounts for various university accounts, and approved a number of MOUs and internal cooperation agreements between King Khalid University and other entities.
The Council also approved the Guide for Creating and Developing Graduate Programs at the University, the establishment of a scientific association called the Saudi Society for Cosmetic Dentistry, and the establishment of a scientific association called the Saudi Society for Preventive Medicine. The Council also approved the proposal to open admission to bridge programs for graduates of the middle diploma starting from the year 1446. The Council also approved the nomination of a number of university employees for promotion to higher ranks in the university.
