Media and Communication Holds a Symposium on Tourism Management

The Department of Media and Communication at King Khalid University held a symposium on Wednesday at the Abha Literary Club entitled 'Improving the Assets of Dealing with Tourists and its Impact on Tourism in Abha'. This was part of the 'Terhab' campaign organized and supervised by the Department of Media and Communication.

 

The symposium was attended by the Head of Department of Media and Communication, Prof. Ali bin Shwail Al Qarni, the Head of Department of Arabic Language, and a number of university employees and Abha Literary Club members. The symposium first started out with a plenum by Prof. Awad Ibrahim on International Tourism. Dr. Abdullah Asiri, a faculty member at the Department of Media and Communication, also addressed experiences in tourism, in addition to the participation of the Tour Guide Mr. Khalid Al-Touq, who assured that Islamic moral practices are the best way to host the Kingdom's visitors. Arabic Langauge Department Head, Abha Literary Club Director, Dr. Ahmad Al-Tihani, praised the title of the 'Terhab' campaign, highlighting its eloquent value and encouraging increased participation of Abha Literary Club members.

 

At the end of the symposium, Training Supervisor at the Department of Media and Communication, Dr. Ali Zuhair Al-Qahtani, announced that the campaign won Best Graduation Project for the students of the Department of Media and Communication for the first semester of the 1441 academic year.
