On Monday King Khalid University will host a workshop on the 'The Role of Renewable Water in Economic Development' at the main campus. The Ministry of Environment, Water & Agriculture organized the event under the aegis of the Governor of the Asir region, His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz.

 

The purpose of the workshop is to raise community awareness about water renewal technologies and its relationship to economic development in the Kingdom. The workshop hosts will review a variety of current and planned renewable water projects. The initiatives are concurrent with renewable energy development plans to support the overall objective of sustainable growth and development.

 

The event will also include an exhibition to introduce members of the public to the fundamental principles of renewed water solutions and its impact on the economy. The latest projects in the Asir region will be the focal point of the plenary sessions, which will include an examination of wastewater treatment policies and procedures.
