Building the Future: The University Celebrates World Engineer's Day

Today, the 26th of Rabīʿ Al-Awwal, the university will host the 6th Annual World Engineer's Day at the College of Engineering. The program is designed to encourage and support current engineering students and would-be engineering students to pursue technical design and development careers. The activities include, as explained by Engineering College Dean, Dr. Ibrahim Idris Al-Falqi, project exhibitions in Building A. In addition, there will be career-oriented programs such as interviewing skills, resume writing, and student development initiatives.

Dean Al-Falqi recognized special guest Eng. Sayyaf bin Saeed Al-Shahrani who is the facilities management director of the southern sector of Saudi Electric Company (SEC). Director Al-Shahrani will lead a panel discussion on the benefits and challenges of professional engineering. Thereafter, they will be a Q&A session where attendees can ask all of the presenters a variety of questions related to engineering careers.

Engineering is an integral part of the objectives set forth in Vision 2030. It is important for the university to help motivate and support students in all engineering disciplines. King Khalid University is committed to providing both government and private industry with world-class engineering talents on an on-going basis.
