Faculty of Economics in Abha organizes a program to raise awareness of healthy Nutrition for mother and child
The Faculty of Management and domestic economics at King Khalid University (KKU) Organized - last week - an educational exhibition for pregnant and breast feeding mothers. The exhibition was under the slogan "my child's health is in my nourishment", and it was under the supervision of Assistant Professor of Clinical Nutrition, Dr. Heba Gmra. The venue of the exhibition was at Asir Mall.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Heba Gmra, explained that the exhibition aimed to raise the level of awareness of nourishment within the society, and to illustrate the importance of proper nutrition for pregnant and breast feeding women, as well as to encourage mothers to breast feed their children, because of the numerous benefits of breast feeding for both the mother and the baby.
The exhibition provided a number of corners, represented by corner of the pregnant nourishment, corner of breast feeding women nourishment, corner of the baby nourishment, and corner of breast feeding. At the end of the occasion, gifts were distributed to pregnant and breast feeding mothers, the exhibition visitors, and the attending children.
The exhibition witnessed heavy presence of various segments of the society, where students of the level four of the Department of Domestic Economics participated in enlightening and educating women.
