University to receive more than 60 requests for participation in the first scientific forum for the faculties of Arts and Sciences.

King Khalid University (KKU) has received, via its email, more than 60 requests of participation in the activities of the "First Scientific Forum of the faculties of Science and Arts," which will be organized by the University, represented by the College of Arts and Sciences in Khamis Mushayt. The forum will take place from the 14th to the 15th of this month.

The president of the Scientific Committee, who is also the Vice - Dean of Graduate Studies Deanship, and an Assistant Professor of Applied Linguistics at the department of English, Dr. Areej Mustafa, has stated that 12 applications for participation majoring in English were accepted and 12 others in the specialty of Computer Science and Information Systems were also received, in addition to 40 applications for participation of scientific posters in both majors. Dr. Mustafa clarified that the number of participants in the Forum had reached 66 researchers, make up of 45 females and 21 males. She also stated that the number of the colleges of the KKU that have participated in the forum had reached 17 Colleges. Dr. Mustafa pointed out that the forum would address a number of themes, including modern trends in the development of the English language curriculum, computer science and information systems. Other areas to be tackled include new strategies in teaching methods and the challenges they face, as well as the solutions proposed to overcome those challenges, in addition to the successful experiences of the members of the faculty in these disciplines. Modern scientific research in the field of English language, computer science and information systems, will also be tackled.
