University to Participate in the International Exhibition of the QS Organization in Australia.

According to the ranking of the QS Organization, King Khalid University (KKU) has achieved a quantum leap at the level of local and Arab universities just in a period not exceeding a year. The University achieved the 17th place in 2015, from the earlier achieved rank of 22nd in 2014. Furthermore, the University made progress in the area of published research at a rate of 13 ranks up, to occupy the 33rd place. The University also rose up a place in the area of the ratio of the teaching staff against students to occupy the 19th place. These two previous indicators reflect the quality of the educational and research outputs of the institution.

In the university's pursuit towards achieving further progress in international rankings, and in activating ways of cooperation to raise the level of its performance in various fields, the institution participated in the 11th International Exhibition and Conference of the QS Organization that was held in Australia. Participation included holding an exhibition that has displayed many brochures about the university in the English language, a number of advertising posters and an introductory video that displayed the most important current projects in the university, in addition to offering the visitors to the University corner souvenirs and antiques on which was inscribed the slogan of the University. There were some exchanges of visits to stands at the exhibition, with the stand of the University hosting a number of delegations from several universities, as well as the delegation of King Khalid University, paying visits to other stands of different universities that were participating in the exhibition. The members of the delegation of King Khalid University, during their visits to other corners, introduced King Khalid University, and proposed ways to achieve cooperation with them in research and scientific fields. Moreover, a number of members of the Saudi Students Club paid a visit to the stand of King Khalid University at the exhibition, at where they were briefed on the University's activities in order to progress its international ranking.

Two scientific papers also were presented in the scientific conference. They were presented by Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Hajri and Dr. Mefarah Al Cardm. On the sidelines of the conference and exhibition, Dr. Saeed Alsarf, the Coordinator of the activities of the QS organization in the university, met Mr. Ashwin, who is in charge of the King Khalid University in the QS organization. During the meeting, they discussed future issues that are related to ranking, and how the University of King Khalid could achieve the highest level in international rankings, as an extension of what the university has achieved in the past years.
