University Rector opens a symposium to enhance the efficiency of government performance in Asir.

His Excellency the Rector of King Khalid University, Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, yesterday, inaugurated a symposium to enhance the efficiency of government performance in Asir. The inauguration took place at the headquarters of the university in Abha. The symposium has been arranged after the study made by the University and represented by the research and advisory Studies Institute. The study was entitled "performance criteria and indicators for government agencies."

The symposium was attended by the Deputy Governor of Asir, who is also the Assistant of the Development Affairs Dr. Ahmed Al-Qahtani,  and by the Deputy Assistant to the administrative and technical development of the emirate Dr. Ibrahim Al-Duraibi, in addition to a number of government departments' officials and directors in Asir.

Rector Al dawood expressed his overwhelming happiness to meet the leaders of Asir region in order to discuss and debate about the work for the common good through the study. Rector Al Dawood stated at the occasion that that was one of the duties of the university towards the region in order to raise the level of government performance and to strengthen the state's agencies all over the region. Rector Aldawood also offered thanks to His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul-Aziz, the Governor of Asir region, for his continuous support and cherishing of such symposium. In addition, His excellency Prince Faisal Bin Khalid Bin Abdul Aziz, suggested arranging the seminar to be inclusive of the owners of the field work in order to achieve what the seminar aspired to achieve, as well as  the aspirations of those who organized it.

It is noteworthy that the study was based on different criteria, including that of effective leadership, that of creativity, that of excellence, and the one for information technology. Other criteria are those of services provided to beneficiaries, that of facilitating executive procedures, and that of controlling and developing human resources. In addition, there are those of interaction, and of communicating with the community, as well as that of the optimal exploitation of resources and potentialities, in addition to that of culture and Profession ethics.
