The 2024 Saudi University Chess Championship for Students Concludes at the university
The Saudi universities Chess Championship for students, which was hosted by the university from 21-25 Shawwal, concluded its events, with the participation of more than 130 students from 26 universities. The championship was organized by the Saudi Federation for University Sports at the Ministry of Education.
King Saud University won first place, earning gold medals, followed by King Fahad University for Petroleum and Minerals in second place, earning silver medals, and in third place, Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, winning bronze medals. In addition to student Abdulrahman Al-Shehri, winning the title of “Best Player”.
Ibn Dajam congratulated the champions of this competition, and expressed the importance with which the university regards these events, in line with Saudi Vision 2030, as it develops participation rates in sports and physical activities in the kingdom.
On his end, the President of the Saudi University Sports Federation, Prof. Khalid bin Saleh Al-Muzaini, praised the organization and high competitive spirit he witnessed, thanking the university and the Deanship of Student Affairs for all their exceptional efforts that made this tournament successful.
