Media of Tourism MA Program Wins the Ministry of Tourism Initiative Award

The Media of Tourism MA program at King Khalid University was recently awarded the Ministry of Tourism’s award for Tourism Education Enrichment 2023. The program met the standards of tourism education, which crowned it as one of the leading programs in the Arab world today.

The president of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaallah Al-Solami met with the program’s team, alongside the Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities and the Director of the Media and Communication Department, and expressed his earnest appreciation for their valued contributions.

The Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities, Dr. Khalid bin Saeed Abu Himka, described this award as an excellent incentive for the program to develop the quality of tourism education. He added that this award will provide top-notch training opportunities for graduates, and confirmed the Media and Communication Department’s strive for international accreditation for the program, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism.

The Director of the Media and Communication Department at the university, Dr. Ali Zheer Al-Qahtani, Highlighted the program’s exceptional leaps, which recently signed a training program with the International Tourism Organization (Ted Qual), which targets faculty members and outstanding students.

It is worth noting that the Media and Communication Department at the university provides other quality graduate programs in other fields, including television journalism, crisis communication, and language and Media.
