KKU College of Education Signs a Cooperation Agreement With Irada Hospital for Mental Health in Abha

King Khalid University, represented by the College of Education, recently signed a cooperation agreement with Irada Hospital for Mental Health in Abha, in  an attempt to achieve integration between the two parties and raise the quality of  offered programs, activities and services to better serve the community of Asir region.

The agreement announces the two parties' joint efforts to expand the field of education and training. In addition to their  contribution  to advance  scientific research through training, development, follow-up, and scientific consultations.

The agreement's most important provisions, according to Prof. Thabit bin Saeed Al Kahlan, Dean of the College of Education, include holding conferences, workshops, and seminars on topics relevant to the two parties' fields, as well as teaching psychology courses to college students and helping set up clinics with equipment for cognitive behavioral therapy, mental health diagnosis, and counseling.

The agreement also stipulated that the College of Education provides a number of training courses for hospital employees, and conducts a number of educational programs and courses for them to benefit from in their professional careers. Moreover, the agreement includes the potential  admission of hospital employees into postgraduate programs in the Department of Psychology, under the university admission requirements.

It is important to note that the College of Education is one of King Khalid University's oldest colleges. It offers high-quality academic and professional programs and teaching faculty members with expertise in a range of educational subjects, holding some of the university's oldest departments.
