College of Dentistry Organizes Awareness Campaigns in Gulf Oral Health Week

Coinciding with the  World Oral Health day and  Gulf Oral Health Week, King Khalid University College of Dentistry organized a health awareness campaign for 2 days in the city of Abha.

According to Prof. Muhammad bin Ali Al-Qarni, Dean of the university's Faculty of Dentistry, two fully equipped mobile clinics were provided. These clinics conducted clinical examinations for members of the community, referred cases that required treatment to the faculty's clinics in University City in Al-Fara'a, and followed up on them regularly. Additionally, in order to further the campaign's objectives, which are among the college's top priorities, health awareness pamphlets for  individual and for families were created and dispersed.

Al-Qarni emphasized that this awareness campaign is part of a larger effort to increase public knowledge of the importance of oral health, to fulfill the objectives of this international day and the accompanying awareness week, to create a society free from oral diseases, and to improve the quality of life for all members of society.

It is worth noting that the campaign was carried out over 2 days, during which the services  were provided to 442 visitors, with the participation of 73 members of the College of Dentistry, including professors, doctors, interns, and students.
