The University Establishes a "Complementary and Alternative Medicine Unit" at the College of Pharmacy
His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Dr. Faleh bin Rajaa Al-Solami, issued an administrative decision to establish a complementary and alternative medicine unit" which falls under the College of Pharmacy. The unit is to become a reliable scientific reference for patients and health practitioners in the public and private sectors in the field of alternative and complementary medicine .
The Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Saiari, explained that the unit aims to provide safe effective services, through specialized clinics, in addition to cooperating with the private sector in the field of research and studies. He also explained that the unit will offer trainings, workshops and conferences to qualify practitioners in the field , as well as raising community awareness about complementary and alternative medicine.
It is worth mentioning that the unit includes four specialized departments: Awareness and Community Service Department, Training and Education Department, Medical Consultation Department, and Scientific Research Department.
