KKU Students Translate 50 Articles
A team of female students from the College of Languages and Translation at KKU, participated again in the “Wiki Dowen" project, by translating 50 scientific articles covering medical, psychological and engineering topics, in addition to other scientific topics that had not been translated into Arabic before.
The initiative was supervised by Dr. Fahad Atif, Assistant Professor of Discourse Analysis and Translation, who praised the students and the project leader, Dr. Zuhair Al-Shehri and Mrs. Reem Al-Mutairi for their efforts. This qualitative initiative is an extension of the previous efforts of the students of the College of Arts and Science in Ahad Rafidah where they translated more than 400 articles.
It is worth noting that, ”Wiki Dowen" is a Saudi project that aims to enrich the Arabic and Islamic digital content within the free Wikipedia encyclopedia. This project is adopted by King Abdul Aziz research house , and many Saudi universities and cultural attachés outside the Kingdom.
