The University President honors the the College of Engineering team

His Excellency the University President Prof. Falleh bin Raja Allah Al-Sulami, honored the team behind the initiative producing and manufacturing products to limit the spread of COVID-19. The initiative was organized by the Collage of Engineering as a part of its community services to fight against COVID-19. The Collage’ male and female students and professors participated in the initiative. The honoring was attended by the Collage Dean Dr. Muhammad Al Misfer, and the initiative’s Supervisor Dr. Ahmad bin Dejum.

The initiative focused on manufacturing preventive medical products, ventilators spare parts using 3D printers, to limit the spread of the virus.

His Excellency the University President thanked the whole team members and praised their efforts in participating with the national efforts to limit the spread of this pandemic.

The initiative’s Supervisor Dr. Ahmad bin Dejum, explained the initiative’s team ,manufactured more than 17800 piece which included 6 different products. He confirmed the initiative trained more than 21 students in the steps of manufacturing, assembling and packing. He thanked his Excellency the University President for supporting this initiative and its outcomes.

This initiative had a team of students and another of faculty members which was chaired by Dr. Ahmad bin Dejum. Dr. Saqr Al-Omari, Dr. Ali Anaki and Dr. Ahmed Al-Qahtani were members in this team. The initiative’s products were distributed to a number of entities in collaboration with "Nashama Asir” project. The initiative had an advanced position among 12 voluntary projects honored by His Royal Highness Asir’s Prince
