Rector Al-Solamy Sponsors Deanship of Student Affairs Success Partners Appreciation Ceremony

His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, sponsored an appreciation ceremony for nominated success partners of the Deanship of Student Affairs. Success partners in the 2019-2020 academic year were selected based upon their commitment to sponsoring opportunities for personal development, academic achievement, community engagement, and professional development for King Khalid University students.

 

At the beginning of the ceremony, Rector Al-Solamy thanked all success partners for their contribution, support and sponsorship of initiatives and activities. Rector Al-Solamy then thanked the Deanship of Student Affairs for its efforts in establishing distinguished partnerships.

 

Following after, Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Abdullah Al Adheed, emphasized that partnerships between and among government, private industry, and nonprofit organizations contribute significantly to strengthening relationships. Dean Al Adheed then highlighted that King Khalid University has recently developed several social investment programs as a result of same with the King Khalid University Student Fund, which serves to help underprivileged students.

 

Basameh Company Director of Sales, Mohammad Al-Qahtani, gave a speech wherein he emphasized the role of universities in being a catalyst for sustainable development in the communities they serve. He then commended King Khalid University's drive to form community partnerships that enable sustainable development.

 

Those awarded included:

 

  • Al Habib Charitable Foundation and Sheikh Ali bin Hassan bin Hamran for the financial support they provided to community college students;
  • Abdulaziz Al-Jomaih Charitable Foundation and Abha Private Hospital for their sponsorship of the Student Clubs Forum;
  • Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Jomaih of supporting the Energies Compass program for leaders of student clubs;
  • Center for Innovative Solutions to implement the training program Compass Energies;
  • Basameh Company for its "Mutqin" program to support training programs at the Deanship.

 

Of noteworthy mention, holders of the Advanced Scout Qualification from the United States of America were honored. Also, Arabic calligraphy teacher Dr. Saif-alddeen Sayed Mohammad was honored in an end of service ceremony.
