Rector Sponsors Fall 2020 Virtual Reception for First-Year Students

His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, sponsored the virtual reception for new students, which was organized by the Office of the Vice Rector for Educational and Academic Affairs, in the presence and participation of senior leadership. Rector Al-Solamy opened the meeting with a welcoming speech: " I happy you are all here with me today. Together we salute the efforts of our nation and those in the education sector. E-learning during the COVID-19 pandemic had become a strategic option for the future, and we are on the frontier together. We are here to provide assistance and support to you all. We want you to achieve success at King Khalid University. I extend my sincere gratitude to the organizers and participants of this meeting."

 

Vice Rector for Educational and Academic Affairs, Prof. Saad Du' ajim, congratulated the new students and gave them an overview of what is required of them, explaining that we are offering essential roles for students in both academic and recreation. Vice Rector Du'ajim clarified that the Student Fund at the Deanship of Student Affairs recently launched a subsidy for purchasing smart devices or computers for students in need.

 

Following after, Vice Rector for Female Student Affairs, Prof. Kholoud Abu Melha, and Tehama Campus Supervisor, Dr. Ahmed bin Atef Al-Shehri, congratulated the new students for their admission to King Khalid University, affirming our readiness to provide them with assistance.

 

At the end of the ceremony, a presentation was delivered on best practices in utilizing recommend preventive measures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Also covered were the facilities and services offered to both the students and the communities in which they live. Several deans, supporting deanships, and directors also delivered an introduction to student services.

 

Immediately following the Q&A session, several KKUx subscription packages were awarded.
