Ease of COVID-19 Restrictions Show Strong Crisis Management Leadership

His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, commended the recent decisions concerning the lifting of some COVID-19 containment measures as the Kingdom implements a three-stage plan to introduce a return to normal life in less than a month. Rector Al-Solamy explained that this move bears witness to support at all levels of our beloved country under the wise policy of our prudential leadership.

 

Rector Al-Solamy thanked His Majesty Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, for the efforts made by the state to limit the spread of the Coronavirus during this critical time, may Allah protect them.

 

Vice Rector of Academic Affairs, Prof. Saad Du'ajim, explained that the decision to gradually return to normal life is a positive indication that the Kingdom's health measures and our ability to face any pandemic was a success, adding that the next stage will be dependent on the public's knowledge and awareness.

 

Vice Rector Du'jim asserted that partially lifting the precautions does not mean the virus has disappeared, but rather requires compliance to ensure that it does not return, so it is the responsibility of everyone to prevent the pandemic from spreading again by following the rules of social distancing.

 

Vice Rector of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Saad Al-Amri, said: "We thank Allah Almighty for the countless blessings he has blessed our country with and we also thank Allah Almighty for the care and attention every citizen and resident has received during this critical time." Vice Rector Al-Amri stressed that the recent decisions come to complement previous efforts in caring for the safety and interest of our country and the process of returning to everyday life which has been planned according to carefully studied stages, and on this occasion, we thank the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for their efforts.

 

Vice Rector of Academic Quality and Development, Dr. Merzin Al-Shahrani, explained that these wise decisions are the embodiment of the great attention our government places on the health and safety of its people. "The tremendous efforts made by our government in managing the crisis elevated the Kingdom to an international role model in achieving a balance between the stability of the health system and the preservation of the economy through applying all the precautionary measures to overcome this crisis and return our normal life soon," he concluded.

 

Vice Rector for Business and Knowledge Economy, Professor Dr. Abdullatif Al-Hadithi said: "With great happiness, we have received news of the decisions recently taken by our wise government on the Coronavirus& pandemic, which confirms the limitation of the virus and the beginning of a return plan. This move shows that the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is able to manage the crisis through strategic modern plans that inform nations around the globe to follow."

 

Vice Rector Al-Hadithi praised the generous support provided by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the Kingdom’s regions and the health sector, in particular, asking God to protect our leadership and to maintain its security, safety, and prosperity.

 

King Khalid University Vice President, Dr. Mohammed Al-Buhairi, praised the approval of the gradual start of lifting some COVID-19 precautionary measures taken by the Kingdom based on what was submitted by the competent health authorities in this regard. Vice President Al-Buhairi said: "This kind approval in lifting some precautionary measures in preparation for the return of normalcy in the Kingdom is part of a series of wise decisions taken by the leadership of this country since the beginning of the crisis in order to protect the country economy, social and health sources." He stressed that awareness and the experiences gained by health authorities and various agencies were critical. He urged all to make a full commitment to the preventive measures recommended by the Ministry of Health in social distancing during the coming period. Vice President Al-Buhairi also praised the approval of Friday prayer in mosques while continuing to take precautionary measures that allow Muslims to worship in a safe environment. At the conclusion of his comments, Vice President Al-Buhairi asked Allah to bless the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and provide him with abundant health and wellness and to perpetuate the prosperity and prosperity of this country and to grant all those sick a recovery.

 

Vice Rector of Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Kholoud Abu Melha, thanked our wise leadership for their response to this pandemic in full force, where the health and safety of citizens and residents is a priority. "We ask Allah Almighty to demolish this pandemic from the world. The coming stage requires all citizens and residents to adhere to the preventive measures and necessary precautions to combat this pandemic. Much of the responsibility is now in the hands of our society. To prevent and protect the people, we must follow the guidelines recommended by the Ministry of Health. This is a true test of the extent of awareness and commitment to social distancing and the prevention of the spread of the virus through social gatherings. On the return of employees to the workplace, His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development confirms to us the need to adhere to preventive measures by everyone. I ask Allah Almighty to protect our country and our people and to perpetuate His blessings and security on our nation and protect the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his faithful Crown Prince," she concluded.

 

Tehama Campus Supervisor, Dr. Ahmed Atef Al-Shehri, explained that the health of Saudi people comes at the top of our wise leadership's concerns. He noted that at a time when some developed countries failed to deal with this pandemic, the Kingdom managed to tolerate this crisis with all professionalism, by the grace of God first, and with the wise decisions of our leadership, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his loyal Crown Prince, may God protect them.

 

Dr. Al-Shehri added: "The recent decisions are a continuation of preserving the safety, health, and welfare of the people. These decisions were not random but were based on accurate data reports and in-depth studies. With God's help, these drawn-out plans will succeed in overcoming this crisis and our return to normal life. Since the beginning of the crisis, our government has been sufficient in educating people about ways to deal with and prevent this disease, and in the coming period, we must take responsibility and commit to implementing these decisions until we cross safely to the other side."
