Rector Al-Solamy Establishes Permanent Standing Teamwork Committee to Strengthen and Enhance KKUx

His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector Falleh Al-Solamy, established a standing committee to manage the KKUx platform. The KKUx platform attracts top instructors at the domestic and international levels. It aims to provide in-demand courses for in-demand careers in accord with Vision 2030. The on-demand video lectures and exercises will allow participants to apply their new skills and showcase their expertise to employers with a shareable course certificate upon completion.

 

Responsibilities of the committee include launching partnerships and cooperation with both the government and private industry, building influential relationships with individuals, investors, entrepreneurs, for-profit and nonprofit organizations, and universities. Of noteworthy mention, the role of data analysis and machine intelligence in accessing smart services for the learner and teacher is a course offering theme planned for the near future.

 

Members of the committee have specialties in e-learning, educational technology, artificial intelligence and related fields headed by Dean of E-Learning, Dr. Fahad Alahmari. The current members are CIO Dr. Mohammed Alsaqer; Artificial Intelligence Center Head, Dr. Salem Alelyani; Vice CIO Dr. Ebtisam Alqatani; Educational Technology Department Head, Dr. Abdullah Al-Muhaya; E-learning expert Dr. Abdullah Al-Waleedi; former Engineering College dean, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Falqi; Pharmacy College Assitant Dean, Dr. Dalia Almugasala; General Administration of Legal Affairs Supervisor, Dr. Ali Hejri; and KKUx representative Abdullah Roza.

 

In related news, KKUx was the recipient of numerous awards at both the domestic and international level, being considered a model for platforms that offer future skills training. Most recently, a cooperation agreement was reached with Jeddah University.
