College of Engineering Holds Employment Marketplace Meeting

The College of Engineering met with the Director of Education for Employment, Mr. Abdullah Al-Ghamdi. The college’s Initiatives Office represented the university. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the ways in which engineering graduates can better access and serve the technical labor market.

 

Dean of the College of Engineering Dr. Muhammad Al-Misfer, explained that this initiative is the college's first step in organizing initiatives to improve students' skills and increase employment in the Kingdom. He also explained that this is an objective supporting Vision 2030.

 

The head of the Specific Initiatives and Programs Office in the college, Osama Mushaibeh, explained that the College is working on 6 specific initiatives. These programs aim to increase the college's community service efforts. The college is also working on programs dedicated for students to improve their technical and personal skills, which will help prepare them for professional careers. They will also improve the level of the college's educational outcomes and long-term goals.

 

Vice Dean of Academic Affairs, Dr. Majed Al-Subeeh, and Vice Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Saeed Al-Qadi, also attended the meeting in an advisory capacity.
