Launching the "Alive With Qur'an" Event

Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Fundamentals of Religion, Prof. Muhammad Dhafer Al-Shehri, inaugurated the "Alive with Qur'an" event, which was organized by the Department of Qu'ran and Sciences. This event will continue until next Thursday.

 

At the beginning of the launch, Dean Al-Shehri was briefed on the accompanying exhibition, which included a course in Arabic calligraphy. This course focused on the Ottoman script, which was used in the Holy Qur'an.

 

Dean Al-Shehri stressed the importance of holding this event and how it is related to serving the Holy Qur’an, noting that it serves to illustrate the importance of understanding its meanings and creating a competitive spirit among students. He confirmed that the second Qur'anic Week includes sessions in Qur’an recitation and interpretation in addition to lectures in the university mosques.

 

The event also included a lecture entitled "The Kingdom's efforts in serving the Holy Qur’an". It covered a number of topics, notably the university's role in serving the Holy Qur’an through scholarships and graduate Studies in Qur'anic sciences. Also covered was the role of the Holy Qu'ran in societal development and the role of Qur’anic sessions and competitions in serving the Holy Qur’an.
